Maintenance Technician - Electrical/Mechanical

You love diagnosing and solving problems. Setting up and operating tools such as a drill press, grinder, and/or welder is second nature to you. You are able to research for replacement parts and complete purchases on needed orders. Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production would not faze you. You are capable of performing repairs on electrical equipment, as well as performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Adhering to company safety rules and regulations is something you do not struggle with.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Strong electrical background
  • Ability to troubleshoot both 24vdc systems and 208/480v systems
  • Previous experience in HVAC and general maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to read, as well as, follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to both simple and complex maintenance requirements
  • Must be able to document stable work history with good work habits

Physical Demands:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Talk and hear.
  • Be very active. This job requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing for a minimum of 8 hours each day.
  • Regularly lift and/ or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally having to lift over 100 pounds with mechanical assistance.
  • Be able to work from heights equal to or greater than the interior ceiling and external roof areas.
  • Have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

Because this role is in a manufacturing setting, steel-toed shoes, the ability to routinely lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time, and ability to tolerate variability in temperature and noise levels are required.
