Summary of Essential Functions to Be Performed:
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing for a minimum of 8 hours each day.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and will occasionally lift over 100 pounds with mechanical assistance.
Must be able to work from heights equal to or greater than the interior ceiling and external roof areas. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
The work environment is that of a manufacturing facility. Conditions change as the outdoor climate changes. There are moderate exposures to heat and cold, as well as, exposure to moderate noise levels, moving equipment, and other general manufacturing hazards. There is frequent exposure to exposed sharp objects.
